Services Provided
Workers' Compensation:
Boehm & Associates identifies workers’ compensation cases where a client’s group health plan
paid benefits or where a medical provider has an outstanding balance for medical care
provided to treat a claimed industrial injury. Upon discovery of the case, Boehm files a
lien to protect recovery rights and takes all necessary steps to recover on behalf of the client.
Third Party Liability:
Boehm & Associates investigates potential third-party cases on behalf of health plans
where contract language provides for third-party recovery. When a case is identified, the
plaintiff’s attorney is put on formal notice and all legal avenues are taken to ensure
appropriate recovery for the client.
Electronic Data Matching:
Clients provide membership, claims or encounter date by tape, disk, or other electronic means
and Boehm & Associates matches the data against the database of all workers’ compensation cases
filed in the State of California. When there is a “match” between the workers’ compensation
cases and the client data, a lien claim is filed with the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
Early Out Billing
Boehm & Associates provides to its hospital clients follow up and recovery services in workers’
compensation accounts that remain unpaid after the initial billing cycle. These accounts are
commonly referred to as Early Out Accounts.
Client Training and Seminars
Boehm & Associates provides on-site training seminars to the clients’ staff to facilitate the
identification of workers’ compensation and third party liability cases.
